Andre M. Boudreaux

Andre Boudreaux is a native of New Orleans and has been practicing law there since 2017. He joined Laborde Siegel immediately following law school after completing the summer clerkship program. While in law school, Andre participated in the moot court program and competed in competition against other law schools. Prior to law school, Andre played soccer at the University of Louisville and had a brief stint as a professional soccer player.
Andre defends clients in a wide variety of practice areas including personal injury cases arising out of auto accidents, trucking accidents, premises liability, construction defects, and wrongful death and survival action claims, as well as aviation litigation. Andre also practices in the areas of insurance coverage disputes and bad faith litigation. In his practice, Andre has handled cases from pre-suit claims all the way through resolution at mediation, trial, and on appeal.
Andre was selected to the Louisiana Rising Stars list by Super Lawyers Magazine in 2019 and 2021-2025. He was also recognized as a Best Lawyers Ones to Watch® in 2024 and 2025.
Andre is admitted in all state and federal courts in Louisiana including the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
The following examples reflect the types of cases that Andre regularly handles:
- Obtained directed verdict at trial securing dismissal of claims against insurance company client. The dismissal was affirmed by the appellate court and Louisiana Supreme Court.
- Handled a large volume of first party property damage claims and lawsuits resulting from Hurricanes in Louisiana, all of which included claims for bad faith penalties under Louisiana law.
- Successfully obtained a dismissal on summary judgment for a client in a premises liability lawsuit arising from a slip and fall at a casino in the New Orleans, Louisiana area.
- Handled multiple claims and lawsuits arising from a multi-vehicle 18-wheeler accident resulting in a death and numerous personal injury claims.
- Successfully had an insurance carrier dismissed on an exception of no right of action in a breach of contract claim.
- Prevailed on summary judgment in coverage litigation based on exclusions in the insurer’s policy in a Louisiana New Home Warranty Act suit.
- Secured dismissal, with prejudice, in the trial court based on exception of prescription and was affirmed on appeal where trial court dismissed the plaintiff-homeowner’s claims for property damage.
